Keeping your commercial heating system working smoothly all season long is crucial for the comfort of your employees and customers, but you might not know what you can do to keep it in good condition. Here at Blocker Heating & Cooling, Inc., we have worked with countless business owners over the years, and we’d be more than happy to share some of our top tips for keeping your commercial heating system in good working order.

Here are a few tips we recommend to make the most out of your commercial heating system:
- Schedule regular maintenance services. Many business owners only schedule commercial heating services when something goes noticeably wrong with their HVAC system, but this can be a recipe for disaster. By taking a proactive approach and scheduling routine check-ups, you can catch minor issues before they can cause severe problems.
- Check air filters frequently. Dirty air filters can restrict airflow, reduce indoor air quality, and spread allergens and other contaminants throughout your facility. Checking and replacing these filters every one to three months is a simple way to keep your heating system operating efficiently.
- Seal and insulate your building. Even the best commercial heating system will struggle to sufficiently heat your building if the structure is poorly insulated. We recommend checking windows, doors, and other openings for drafts and then thoroughly sealing them to prevent outdoor air from getting inside. It’s also a good idea to check the insulation throughout your walls and ceiling and determine if it might be time to invest in new insulation.
